02 — GETTING STARTED

Your first conversation

What happens during one turnYour question goes to NORD. NORD thinks, may use a tool, and gets a result back. That can repeat. Then the answer follows. If NORD wants to do something outward-facing it stops first and asks for your approval.Your questionNORD thinksrepeatsTooloutward?AnswerYour approval
What happens during one turn

The conversation window is where nearly everything happens. You type what needs doing; NORD answers, or gets to work and shows you what it is doing on the way.

Use this if you want to know what appears on screen mid-answer and how to steer.

What you see during an answer

  1. While NORD is thinking you can open the collapsible reasoning panel to read the intermediate steps. It stays closed unless you open it — the conclusion belongs at the top, not the route to it.
  2. When it uses a tool, a line appears with the tool's name and the result below it. When a tool fails you see that too; it is not tidied away.
  3. When something would leave the building — an e-mail, a message, a change in another system — NORD asks for your approval first. See Approvals.
  4. If NORD falls back to another model mid-turn because the chosen one is briefly unavailable, it says so in the conversation and bills against the model actually used.

Steering while it runs

  • Taking too long, or heading the wrong way: press the stop button (Stop stream). The work is aborted and you pay only for what was used up to that point.
  • The answer arrived but is not quite right: Opnieuw has NORD try the same thing again. That costs usage again.
  • You want a clean slate: Nieuw gesprek. That clears the conversation's memory, not your Memory or Company knowledge.

Sending along what you have to hand

Drop an image or a PDF into the composer, or use the Bestand toevoegen (afbeelding of PDF) button. NORD reads it within that conversation.

If you want a document to count on every question from now on, put it under Company knowledge instead of attaching it once. An attachment is single-use; knowledge is permanent.

Telling us what you thought

Under an answer there is a thumbs up and a thumbs down (Goed antwoord and Slecht antwoord). Those reach us, not the model — it is not a button that changes the answer, and it does not pretend to be.

Kopieer bericht lifts the text out without the screen's formatting.

Which tools are in play

Beside the composer sits Tools. There you see which tools NORD may use this turn, and you can switch one off temporarily. That works per conversation and changes nothing about your connections, which live under Connections.

Note

A conversation remembers itself, but starting a new conversation starts from a clean slate. Anything NORD should know permanently belongs under Memory or Company knowledge, not in your most recent chat.
