06 — CHAT & KNOWLEDGE

Connecting knowledge sources

An uploaded document stands still. A connected source keeps up: change the page and what NORD knows changes with it.

Use this for knowledge that lives — a handbook, a price table, a list of agreements you keep anyway.

Connecting Notion

  1. Go to Settings and then the Bedrijfsinformatie tab.
  2. If it says Notion is nog niet gekoppeld, press Koppel Notion and sign in to Notion itself.
  3. Then use Zoek een pagina of database… to choose which page or database to take along. You are not connecting your whole workspace, only what you point at.
  4. Give the source a name you will recognise later.

When a source refreshes

Per source you choose how often it is fetched again. To decide exactly yourself, you can enter a cron expression — the example in the field is 0 7 * * 1, that is Monday morning at seven.

Under Gekoppelde bronnen each source shows when it was last fetched. That is the place to look when an answer feels out of date.

What a connected source is not

A source is read access to what you point at. NORD does not write back into Notion through this connection, and it sees nothing outside the pages you chose.

To have NORD actually do something in another system, that runs through Connections or an MCP server, with an approval per action.

Note

Do not connect a page holding things NORD should not know. The source is searched on every question just like the rest of your Company knowledge, and "it probably will not look" is not a setting.
