Schedules
Topics
A schedule is a goal that comes back on its own. Work you do every week does not need starting every week.
Use this for recurring work: a weekly summary, a monthly check, a daily pass over incoming requests.
Creating a schedule
- Go to Schedules in the left rail.
- Describe what should happen each time, exactly as you would for a goal.
- Choose how often: hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
- Switch it on. From then on it runs by itself and you see what came out of each run.
Where the result goes
A scheduled task runs while you are not there, so leaving the result waiting in the chat window is rarely useful. Under Delivery you set where it should go: a notification on your phone, a message in Slack, or a call into your own system.
Note
When several copies of the agent are running, exactly one picks up the schedule — so a scheduled task cannot run twice or cost twice. A schedule that would breach your spending limit does not run; it waits until there is room again.
