Memory

Memory is what NORD retains about you between conversations: your name, how you work, which abbreviations belong to your business, what you agreed earlier.

Use this page when NORD keeps assuming something that is wrong, or to check what has been recorded about you.

Viewing and editing memory

1. Go to Settings and then the Geheugen tab.
2. You see the recorded entries as readable text — not as an opaque summary.
3. Edit an entry that is no longer true, or delete it.
4. Add something yourself that NORD should always know, for instance how you want to be addressed.

What belongs here

Short, lasting facts about you and how you work:

• Your name and how you want to be addressed.
• Which abbreviations mean something specific inside your business.
• Which tone you want in outgoing messages.
• Recurring preferences: which supplier you use by default, which day you would rather not schedule.

Memory or Company knowledge?

Memory is about you and how you work, and it is short. Company knowledge is about your business and may be long: documents, procedures, price lists.

Do not put a manual in Memory — it does not belong there and it works less well, because Memory travels along in full on every question while Company knowledge supplies only the relevant passage per question.

When NORD keeps assuming something

If an assumption is repeatedly wrong, look here first. Usually there is an entry that was once true and no longer is. Editing it beats correcting it in every conversation — the latter costs usage each time and is recorded nowhere.
