Skills

A skill is a document describing how NORD approaches a certain kind of work. Not what it knows — that is Company knowledge — but how it goes about things.

Use this page to see what is in play, or to switch off an approach that is wrong for your business.

Viewing and enabling skills

1. Go to Settings and then the Skills tab.
2. You see the available skills, each with a short description.
3. Open one to read exactly what it says. Nothing is hidden — it is plain text.
4. Switch a skill off if you do not want that approach. NORD stops using it.

Why you would switch a skill off

A skill describes a way of working that is right for most businesses and possibly not for yours. If you use a fixed quote format that differs from what the skill describes, switching it off gives a better result than arguing with it in every conversation.

Note

Switching a skill off removes behaviour, not knowledge. If you want NORD to know something different, that belongs under Company knowledge. Skills are per user: what you switch off stays on for your colleagues.
