Navigating and shortcuts

The app has four places and one search bar that reaches all of them. Once you know those, you never have to hunt for where something was.

The left rail

Four destinations, always in the same order:

  1. Chat — the conversation window. Most things happen here.
  2. Doelen — work NORD completes on its own, against a budget.
  3. Planning — recurring work that runs by itself.
  4. Instellingen — balance, knowledge, connections and the rest.

On a phone the same list sits behind the menu at the top, in the same order.

The command palette

At the top of the left rail sits Zoek… with the ⌘K key beside it. That opens the palette, which has two kinds of row:

  • Under Acties are things that do something immediately: Nieuw gesprek, Start een doel (autonoom), and one row per theme.
  • Under Navigatie is every page of the app: Ga naar chat, Planning — terugkerende taken, Geheugen van NORD, Kennis, Verbindingen, MCP-servers, MCP-marktplaats, API-sleutels, Tegoed & facturering and Account.

Typing filters the list. The input says Typ een commando of zoek…, and that is literally what it does — there is no separate search mode behind it.

Commands in the composer

Start a message with a slash and a short list appears. There is one in it today: /goal, described as NORD working on its own while you approve external actions.

That is deliberately one. Hermes knows more of them, but only commands with a working web side appear in this list — a command that shows up and does nothing is worse than a command that is not there.

Themes

There are five themes: Noir (the default), Hanze, Polaris, Studio and Hermes. Switch through the palette or the theme button (Kies een thema). The choice is remembered on this device.

Note

The palette navigates and starts work; it does not search your conversations or documents. To find something in your knowledge, just ask in the chat — Company knowledge is searched there.
